To ensure your Escondido Mate lasts a lifetime, it requires a simple curing process before its first use; rub the interior wood with a bit of olive oil or butter, then fill it with used damp yerba for 24 hours to seal the pores. Always rinse the interior with warm water—never use soap or dishwashers—and dry the aluminum exterior immediately with a soft cloth to maintain its original shine. To ensure its longevity, avoid soaking the mate and store it in a dry, ventilated place to prevent moisture from staying between the wood and the metal shell.

Returns & Store Credit

We accept returns on unused and unopened items within 14 days of delivery.

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll issue a store credit for the full amount, valid for any future purchase at luvmate.shop.
