Wrapped in premium black leather that has been meticulously hand-embossed (repujado) and crowned with a hand-chiseled alpaca silver rim, it is designed for those who want a mate that is as visually striking as it is traditional.

  • Hand-Embossed Leather: Wrapped in thick, premium black leather featuring intricate, deep floral and traditional patterns crafted entirely by hand. This texture not only looks incredible but provides a superior grip.

  • Chiseled Alpaca & Brass Rim: The heavy alpaca silver virola is intricately hand-chiseled with floral motifs and beautifully contrasted with rustic brass accents, perfectly complementing the dark leather.

Named after the crystal-clear waters of the Patagonian Andes, the Limay is a high-flow, durable, and easy-to-clean straw designed to complement your premium gourd from day one.

 

Artisan Note: As a 100% handcrafted premium product, each Chamamé is one-of-a-kind. Minor variations in the gourd’s shape, the depth of the leather embossing, and the hand-chiseled metal patterns are not defects, but the authentic DNA of Argentine craftsmanship.

Make it part of your ritual

CURE: Fill the gourd with damp, used yerba for 24 hours before your first use to seal the natural pores of the fruit.
CLEAN: Rinse ONLY the inside of the gourd. Never submerge the mate or let water run over the exterior leather.
DRY: Always dry UPRIGHT in a well-ventilated area. Never leave it upside down, as moisture needs to escape.
EMBOSSED LEATHER: Keep the black leather exterior dry. If it gets wet, gently dab it with a dry cloth to protect the hand-embossed details and the dye.
METALWORK: Buff the hand-chiseled alpaca rim and the brass accents gently with a soft, dry cloth to maintain their shine. Avoid abrasive materials.

We accept returns on unused and unopened items within 14 days of delivery.

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll issue a store credit for the full amount, valid for any future purchase at luvmate.shop.
